Vandy Days: 100 Celebrations of Dick Van Dyke’s 100th Birthday

Join us in Malibu for a once-in-a-century celebration honoring the legendary Dick Van Dyke’s 100th birthday.

From Black Friday through December 14, Malibu will come alive with 17 days of joy, community spirit, and special events inspired by Dick’s timeless charm. The goal is to spread happiness across the city and support local businesses recovering from recent wildfires—while giving fans from around the world a chance to celebrate together.

Event Highlights

Here’s what’s in store throughout the 17 days of Vandy Days:

Movie Screenings

Experience the world premiere of the new documentary DICK VAN DYKE: 100TH CELEBRATION, along with showings of Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at various Malibu venues.
Step back in time with classic favorites that made Dick a household name—and see his story come full circle.

Vandy Camps

Enjoy the whimsy of a vintage-style street fair, complete with stilt-walkers, clowns, magicians, face-painters, and more.
Participating Malibu retail centers will transform into mini circus wonderlands celebrating creativity and laughter—just like Dick’s iconic career.

Vandy Days Parade

Mark your calendar for Sunday, December 7.
The celebration kicks off at Santa Monica College / Malibu Library parking lot with a festive sidewalk parade beginning at 11:30 AM, ending at Malibu City Hall around noon.
Expect music, costumes, puppets, and a joyful stroll worthy of a Hollywood legend.

Support Local & Save

Malibu businesses are joining the fun by offering special deals, discounts, and exclusive “Vandy Days” merchandise.
Use the common coupon code DVD100 at participating shops, restaurants, and hotels for event-exclusive perks.

An interactive map (designed by Orbit Maps’ Anthony McDemas) will guide you to every screening, parade route, shop, and restaurant participating in the festivities.

Local businesses can participate at no cost by:

Hosting themed events or extending customer specials
Selling custom “Vandy Days” merchandise
Offering the DVD100 discount between Nov 28 – Dec 14

The campaign will be featured across local media, online outlets, and Dick Van Dyke’s official channels (reaching over one million followers).
